we put on the yellow ribbons.

we put bumper stickers on our cars.

we send them thank-you cards.

we put signs in our yards.

we hold parades in their honor.

we greet them with pride and respect.

we demonize those who don’t.

we support our troops.

but we won’t bring them home.
